So folks, I’m taking this year seriously – what I mean is – I’m giving it my all. I know what I want and I know what I need to do. I’ve even set aside some time to make it all happen. I am planning and working on turning the plans into actions.
One thing I have been trying to take up for several years is journaling. Each new year I buy a nice little diary to write my gratitude lists for each day. It rarely sticks beyond a couple of weeks, then I start to forget and eventually give up. But you know what, I’m not giving up on the idea. This year I have ditched the little diary. I have treated myself to this lovely A4 size journal and week planner –

One of my blog goals/tasks for for the New Year was to do some re-jigging of my categories. Oh deary me – they were in a bit of a mess! Anyway, I’ve had a good sort and clean up.Read More »
As some of you know my New Year plans were scuppered by a visit to Bronchitis Land. Being very ill for a 2 solid weeks was not the best start to a year. However, I tried to embrace the situation. Check out my post in case you missed it – Seeking new year inspiration while surviving acute bronchitis.
Anyway, I am now well into my recovery – hooray, hooray! I have started my new job, which is going well – hooray, hooray! So it’s time to get to grips with this whole New Year thing. Let’s get this show on the road.

What was your favorite book or movie as a child?
As a very small child I loved to read the story of Heidi. I still have this book today.
What is your favorite season and why?
I love spring. It’s a wonderful feeling after the long winter. I enjoy spring flowers, nature coming back to life and the warmer, brighter days.
Do you have a bucket list? What is number 1?
I don’t have a bucket list. I have a Life List of simple things I have always wanted to do or haven’t spent time doing since I was a child. One of the things on my list is – Build a Sandcastle.
If I am lucky enough to holiday near the beach this year, I’m going to take some time out to build a wonderful sandcastle. Read More »
So far 2016 has really not gone to plan for me. The plan went array on Boxing Day (26th Jan) when I have was knocked of kilter by acute bronchitis. It has been particularly severe and my body is still struggling against it. Simply walking around the house is a challenge. On New Year’s I was in bed exhausted and things have yet to improve.
However, I am trying not to let it get me down. I am still planning to embrace the new year, once I am well enough to rejoin life to the full. Sometimes you have to just do nothing and wait for the worst to pass. I am enjoying reading again, cuddling my dog and feel very thankful for the prescribed medication that is keeping me going. I am staying focused on the notion of the new year. I am conserving my energy. I am just postponing things a bit.Read More »
So one of my big adventures this year has been to start this blog. I am loving Blog Land and all the lovely people I have met along the way. However, the time spent on developing my blog and following fellow bloggers, has meant I have neglected other things in my life. Now I’m on a blog roll (long may it continue), I hope it will be less all consuming.
One of the things I am planning to get back to is reading more fiction. To help inspire this I have joined my first ever book challenge!
So one of my goals for 2016 is the –
